Full gear transmission of main shaft. This increases the power to be transferred in the low revs compared to the variably driven main shaft. Also an advantage is the change of speed. This is done at the front of the switch box by means of a switch. shift levers. So no need to move a belt.
Furthermore, the power supply box is completely equipped with gears. Again, the change of feed speed or thread pitch is done by switching levers on the front of the Norton box. So no changing wheels.
With induction hardened and ground prism bed.
