Sawing plastic before it can be further processed with the milling and turning machines!

Merrem Kunststoffen is a specialist in, as the name suggests.... plastics. Merrem supplies a wide range of plastic sheet and rod material throughout the Netherlands. Through a modern and advanced machinery Merrem has become one of the largest processors of technical plastics. At the facility in Dinxperlo, Merrem Plastics processes single pieces to large series according to customer specifications. Including milling, turning, bending, profiling and edging are all operations that Merrem in-house. Merrem invests in the employees, machines and tools so that all operations can be performed accurately and efficiently. The machinery has recently been expanded with a fully automatic sawing machine from Huvema: the BMSO 460 C.

It starts with sawing!

Before a product can be machined with a turning or milling machine, the workpiece must first be sized be made. This happens quite often at Merrem Plastics. Therefore, an expansion of the sawing capacity was desired, which can also speed up the process.

Merrem Plastics was looking for a reliable, easy-to-operate, automatic sawing machine. This was found at Huvema: with the fully automatic sawing machine BMSO 460 C, Merrem can now serially saw up to diameters of 400 mm+. With this double-column machine, there is a model that Huvema has been Huvema has been offering as a reliable sawing machine for many years. This rock solid machine is often used for steel or stainless steel, but can certainly also be used for plastic applications.!

With this new addition to the machine park, the production process can be accelerated and Merrem can deliver even deliver faster and thus take on more orders.
