TT Hoogeveen not only handles the maintenance, repair, and inspection of all types of trucks from any brand imaginable but also manages the construction of truck bodies. They've been doing this since 1972! So, it's safe to say they have plenty of experience.

The axle doctor

TT Hoogeveen also offers axle repair and balancing services. Specifically: trailer and drive axles. As TT Hoogeveen describes it, these services give axles a second life. It’s certainly not always necessary to replace axles prematurely.Great work! But for this kind of great work, you need a great lathe, especially one with significant capacity. Together with Huvema, TT Hoogeveen found exactly what they needed.

A very, very large lathe!

TT Hoogeveen was already a known customer at Huvema, so this collaboration was no surprise. TT Hoogeveen was also familiar with the quality that ZMM delivers, combined with the service provided by Huvema as the ZMM supplier in the Benelux.

A large-capacity lathe is now a reliable asset at TT Hoogeveen. Earlier this year, TT Hoogeveen received a ZMM CU 1250 RD x 3000 (!!!), the largest model we've ever supplied.

With this ZMM lathe, TT Hoogeveen can handle axles up to 1250 mm in diameter and 3000 mm in length. Logistically, it was a bit of a challenge to get it in place, but the machine was delivered, installed, and has been making chips ever since, just as planned.
